All students take all subjects. The choice of a language is the only option. English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and Health & Physical Education are full year courses.  Others are studied in half-year semesters, grouped to ensure students get a balance of the Arts and Technology.

Most classes are mixed ability. Class sizes average 26.

The most able and industrious students are placed together so that they are appropriately challenged.

A Supported Learning Needs Class caters for those with learning difficulties.

A Yr 9-10 intensive ESOL class runs for the first half of the year.

An exciting development has been the creation of a contextual learning class. Students who have been accepted into the school can apply for entry to this class.
