Location
Kokiri Lodge is in Westland, just off the main road between Stillwater and Lake Brunner - about 30km from Greymouth and 8km from Stillwater.
There is vehicle access to the door and the Trans-Alpine Express stops 300m away each day.
The Lodge is on a high terrace of the Arnold River in a rural setting surrounded by farmland and native bush.
The Omato Forest and old goldmining area of Maori Gully and the Arnold River can be reached easily on foot.
Within easy driving distance are Lake Brunner, the Arnold Dam and walkway, the goldmining areas of the Moonlight, all parts of the Grey Valley, the Paparoa National Park, the Croesus Track, and other very interesting historic sites.
