Culinary Competition success
Rachael Harris (13BA) competed in the annual National Secondary School Culinary Competition on Monday 18 June at the Ara Institute of Canterbury.
She is the first Riccarton High School student to ever compete in this competition, and she did us and herself proud by scoring a commendable 81.8 out of 100 and gaining a silver medal.
Rachael had to cook two portions of an entree, championing the humble tomato.
Her tomato and prawn broth had to be created and presented within 60 minutes.
A focused and calm approach meant that her dish looked like a professional made it.
