INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT VACANCY
Riccarton High School is seeking a part-time Homestay Coordinator. Starting at 20 hours per week, with the expectation of expanding these hours as student numbers grow.
The International Homestay Coordinator is responsible for providing high-quality accommodation and support services for our international students and accommodation provider network.
Flexibility of office hours and the ability to manage your time independently are key features of this role.
Tasks Include:
- Recruitment and ongoing support of the school’s international student accommodation providers
- Accommodation visits and ongoing student support related to each accommodation placement
- Airport pick-ups and accommodation change transfers
- Maintaining effective lines of communication between students, agents, host families, the International Director and school staff
Skills Required:
- Confidence in problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work outside of office hours when required
- Interest in working with international students and staff
- Professional manner when dealing with staff, students and other key stakeholders
- Experience in administration, preferably in an educational or international setting
- Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google suite
- A full drivers licence with an expectation to be able to drive a manual van
