Kia ora koutou

This is a new newsletter for friends of Riccarton High School’s international department.

I’ll send this out along with a link to our full school newsletter in order to keep in touch with our alumni, parents, agents, host families and friends of the school. I hope you find this interesting and informative!

With NZ borders opening up sooner than predicted, there is definitely a sense of optimism around the region among those of us in the international education industry. This term we have already welcomed two new international students and we are looking ahead to the arrival of nine more students for term three.

Our international office continues to be staffed by Eileen McDonald, as International Administrator, and Frances Couling, as International Student Director. In February we said goodbye to our long-standing Homestay Manager, Janet Bisley, who’s keeping busy with her family and grandchildren in Christchurch.

I’d like to encourage you to connect with the school via our social media channels; Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We have some great, student-generated content here, created by our Media and Advertising Division.

Feel free to contact us anytime on my email below and be sure to have a read of our latest school newsletter.

Nga mihi,

Frances Couling
International Student Director
