Tēnā koutou e ngā whānau,
We wish to advise parents and caregivers that Riccarton High School will not open until 10.30am on Monday, 12 October 2026 (day 1 of Term 4).
This late start is to allow our school to hold a private Powhiri to formally welcome our new Tumuaki, Ms Haidee Tiffen, to Riccarton High School. This is a significant occasion for our school as we acknowledge and celebrate the beginning of her leadership journey with us.
All students are to arrive at school by 10.30am and go directly to their whānau class. Regular classes will commence following whānau class.
Please note:Te Koroī students will begin Term 4 at the usual time of 8.30am on this day.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we take this time to welcome our new Tumuaki and honour this important occasion for our school.
Ngā mihi nui,
Anthea Knowles
