Insurance:

International students must have insurance for the duration of their planned study period. Riccarton High School can arrange student travel insurance through Unicare or Southern
Cross. If student would like to arrange insurance privately the school must be sent a copy of the policy to check if it covers all legal requirements under The Code of Practice. An annual insurance policy costs between $500-$600nzd.

Scholarships

Riccarton High School Ski and Snowboard Club Scholarship

Riccarton High School in partnership with Smylies Tours – is offering a set of Alpine skis and bindings or Snowboard and bindings up to the value of $1,000 to successful applicants of the Riccarton High School International Student Ski & Snowboard Club Scholarship.

To be eligible students must enrol for a minimum of 6 months. Students must be in Years 11, 12 or 13. At the time of enrolment all interested applicants must compose the following essay.

“Without doubt, Canterbury is the best region in New Zealand for snow sports.”

The essay must be written in English. Students will be advised of scholarship success prior to the payment of International Student fees.
